Deploying Panels | AVX Control
In this tutorial, we cover how to deploy custom control panels created in AVX Architect to the AVX Control application. This tutorial demonstrates the process on a Windows PC, but the steps are similar for iOS and Android devices. By the end, you’ll know how to give users access to the custom panels you’ve designed for seamless system control.

In this video, we’re going to walk you through deploying custom control panels to the AVX Control app. In this example, we’ll be using the AVX Control app on the same Windows computer running AVX Architect. I have here an AVX Architect project with a 256p DSP running a simple AEC design, and I’ve created a custom panel to control the Automatic Gain Sharing Mixer.
First, launch the AVX Control app. It will load in the default state awaiting a control panel. Using the settings, I’m going to go ahead and rename this panel “CP1”, and give it a location of “Office”. Next, we need to add a control device to our project file in AVX Architect. In the System View left pane, AVX Control devices can be found under Configurable Devices list. In this case, we want to load a Windows AVX Control instance. Select the newly added AVX Control object, and rename it from the properties window. The name should match what we set in AVX Control, so “CP1”. Next, select the panel that we want to deploy under the Ui Assignment section. Remember that we need to have a panel created already, so check out the videos on creating custom panels if you haven’t got any set up yet.
Now we can go online. First select “Enable Networking” from the top right of the AVX Architect window. The objects will now be yellow and say “Matched” indicating that they’ve associated with the devices on the network. Next select “Deploy and Connect”, also in the top right of AVX Architect. The deployment wizard will open and we’ll see our two devices. The DSP is already loaded and is set to receive from the parameter sync. Our Panel, CP1, shows that it’s ready to be loaded. If you needed to ignore loading this panel, you can select the panel from the checkbox then change the action to Ignore. When ready, select “Deploy and Connect” in the bottom right of the window. Once finished deploying, the devices will be highlighted green and show these check marks. Going over to the AVX Control App, we’ll see that the custom panel we created has populated and is live talking to the DSP.
