Description:
The Signal Generator can be found in the VIRTUAL view, under the Tools section of the VIRTUAL LIBRARY.
The Signal Generator may be used for general audio system testing or for specific compliance and certification procedures.
In this configuration, which is already deployed and live, the factory panel for the Signal Generator has been opened with a dynamic meter pinned to observe changes in real time.

When the factory panel is opened for the first time, the Signal Generator will be in Sine Sweep mode. The Sine Sweep mode allows the sine wave frequency to sweep between a defined start and end frequency.

The DURATION parameter determines the time required to complete the sweep.

The sweep may be looped using the LOOP TYPE dropdown.

Two loop types are available: Start to End, which restarts the sweep from the beginning after each cycle, and Warble, which sweeps forward and then reverses back to the start frequency.
In Warble mode, the frequency sweep appears to slow down the closer it is to the higher frequency when viewed on the multi-band meter.

This behavior is influenced by the selected sweep mode.

When set to Linear mode, the sweep progresses more quickly at the lower frequency and slows toward the higher frequency.
Switching to Logarithmic (Log) mode results in a constant sweep velocity from start to end.

The radio buttons on the left activate a constant noise or tone.

With the Pink Noise option selected, the dynamic meter will display a signal with the energy distribution characteristic of pink noise.

The White Noise option provides a more even energy distribution across the frequency spectrum.

The Sine Wave option generates a pure tone at a specified frequency.

The frequency may be adjusted using the rotary knob or by entering a value directly in the field below.

On the right side of the factory panel, a Mute button is available to silence the signal generator output.
A Gain control is also provided to adjust the output level of the signal in dbfs.
