Description:
The Parametric EQ is found in the virtual view, under the Equalization section of the audio processing objects. The Parametric EQ allows you to boost or cut specifically desired frequency bands.

In the Parametric EQ factory panel, the frequency graph displays all of our frequency bands and the changes made to them. In this example there is a 5-band EQ.

Below the frequency graph is each bands' parameters.

Type can set the filter to be a low shelf, bell, or a high shelf. With the low and high shelf filters, the Slope option is available to select how steep the slope is at the cutoff frequency.

Frequency and Boost/Cut can set the desired frequency for the filters and their gain setting by typing directly into the text boxes or using the bump up and down buttons.

Bell curve filters have an adjustable WIDTH, or Q, setting to make the filter wider or narrower, perfect for taming troublesome feedback.

Enable buttons are available on every filter band to independently bypass or disable specific filters.

The frequency spectrum graph can also be interacted with directly. The band indicator numbers can be dragged to change just the frequency.

The main circle indicators can be moved to adjust both frequency and gain.

To the side of the main circle indicators, you can drag these transparent circles to adjust the width parameter.

In the properties pane is where you can change the object name. This name also appears over the block in the Virtual view and in the Factory panel in the top-left corner.

In the upper right-hand corner, there's the lock button.

When red, these sliders and parameters are locked and cannot be changed.
The button next to the lock button is the edit/control mode switch. When an object's default control panel is first opened, the panel is in control mode.

Going into edit mode, we can select various parameters and copy them if we wanted them in a custom panel.

In the PROPERTIES pane, the processing object name can be changed. This name will appear above the object in the workspace.

The name and type displayed above the object in the workspace can also be hidden by unchecking these Show check boxes.

Coordinates shows us where in the workspace this object is, and Size is the object box size in the workspace. These can also be changed by dragging the object around in the workspace or grabbing the handles to resize.

Allocation is identifying which DSP in the system that this processing object is residing. With multiple DSPs, you can choose which DSP this processing will occur in.

Under the OPTIONS section, the number of channels on our object block can be changed. The value can be typed in directly or by using the bump up/down buttons. The lowest number is 1, and the highest number is 512, as is common with many of our processing objects.

Finally, the number of Bands for the EQ is selected here under OPTIONS and can be set to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 24 total bands.
