How to Check the Health of Your Lithium Battery?

Rating

Maintaining the health of your speaker's lithium battery is crucial for optimal performance and longevity.

Here are several ways to assess its current condition:

A) Observe Runtime Performance: Look for reduced playback time or inconsistent power (ex. unexpected shutdowns) as primary signs of battery degradation.

B) Monitor Charging Behavior: Watch out for abnormally fast charging followed by quick depletion, the battery failing to hold any charge, or excessive heat during charging, which indicates serious issues.

C) Perform a Visual Inspection (If Applies): Check for any swelling or bulging of the battery case, or leakage (ex. discoloration, residue, or odor), which are critical safety hazards.

Note:  You can use a 3rd-Party Lithium Battery Checker.  For removable batteries, an external checker can provide precise individual cell voltages.  Significant discrepancies or consistently low readings indicate a failing or unbalanced battery.

If you observe any of these symptoms, especially swelling, leakage, or excessive heat, please discontinue use of the speaker immediately and contact our Technical Support team for further assistance, and/or your local certified Service Center.
