What frequency span does a WMS470 system cover?

Each frequency set offers about 30 MHz of tuning inside the 500–865 MHz UHF band, selectable in 25 kHz steps.

How sensitive is the SR 470 receiver?

It achieves 6 µV (‑100 dBm) for 60 dB S/N, ensuring dependable range with proper antenna placement.

What happens if pilot tone detection is active but my transmitter sends none?

The receiver mutes its audio; disable the PILOT function when using HT 400, HT 450, PT 400 or PT 450 transmitters that lack a pilot tone.

What does the red LOW BAT warning mean?

It indicates roughly one hour of transmitter runtime remains before the battery is exhausted.

Why does “LOCK” appear on the receiver display?

LOCK mode stops accidental changes; hold the left arrow key to exit into SETUP when adjustments are needed.

How close must I hold the transmitter to the receiver for IR programming?

Point the transmitter’s IR window at the receiver’s emitter from no more than 10 cm (4 inches) away to ensure reliable data transfer.

Can I charge the transmitters without removing the battery?

Yes, the recessed contacts let HT 470 and PT 470 recharge in a CU 400 dock without opening the battery compartment.

Which battery types are supported and how are they set?

Choose LR6 alkaline, FR6 lithium, HR6 NiMH, or AUTO in the BAT.TYP menu; lithium lasts up to 14 hours but the display shows at most 10 hours.

What squelch settings are recommended?

Keep the threshold between –100 dBm (most sensitive) and –86 dBm (maximum); higher values shorten range and should be used only to suppress persistent noise.

Is the WMS470 compatible with the PS4000 W antenna power splitter?

Yes. Both devices are working in the same frequency range (500-865 MHz).

How do I let the receiver find clear frequencies automatically?

In SETUP select the AUTO menu; the receiver scans the current group and lists free channels, then you confirm a group and assign each channel to a transmitter.
