Talkback Mic Input | Soundcraft Signature Plus Series

Hello, my name is Tony Smith and welcome back to the Soundcraft Signature Plus Video Manual Series. In this video, we’re going to talk about the talkback mic input. With flexible routing options, you can use the talkback mic to speak to performers on stage, in the booth, or to make announcements to a particular zone.
These mixers have an XLR input for the talkback mic on the right side of the mixer in the outputs section. This knob adjusts the microphone gain. You also have an LED to monitor the signal. This input will support condenser mics and phantom power is applied using the global phantom power switch. For the 32 channel mixer, it’s on the second bank of phantom power.
Once you have signal, you can assign where the talkback mic is sent using the small TB toggles located near your output controls. You can find them for the main mix, the auxes and fx mix, and the headphone and control room outputs.
When the large TB button above the main mix fader is pressed, the microphone audio will pass to all outputs that have talkback toggles on.
