Overview:

The momentary switch on the belt-pack of the AKG CM311 XLR can be configured to operate in three different modes depending on the user’s needs.  Please follow the steps to configure the Momentary switch for your CM311 XLR.


Where to find the Momentary Switch.

Remove the 3 screws located on the back-plate of the microphone's belt pack. 

Note:

There is a screw under the label.

 

Once all 3 screws are removed, take out the back-plate to find the 3 Way Slide Switch on the PCB board.


How to program the Momentary Switch.

With the XLR facing to the left, you can set the switch to the preferred position.

 

Momentary On (Right Position) Push-To-Talk

 

  • The microphone is on only while the button is pressed.
  • Releasing the button turns the microphone OFF.

 

 

Momentary Off (Factory Default, Middle position) Push-To-Mute.

 

  • The microphone is normally ON.
  • Pressing and holding the button mutes the microphone.
  • Releasing the button returns the microphone to ON.

 

 

Push-On / Push-Off

 

  • Press once to turn the microphone ON.
  • Press again to turn the microphone OFF.
