Whether replacing a faulty input module, or installing one of our optional 100V modules (IVX-381001 or IVX-381005), this guide covers removal and replacement procedure for Intellivox DS series amplifiers.

Before beginning!

Disconnect AC power and allow sufficient time for internal capacitors to discharge. Use appropriate electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions when handling the circuit boards to avoid damaging sensitive electronics.  Proceed only if you are familiar with basic electronic safety protocols!

  • Remove the press-fit grille.

  • Remove [4] screws from the input cover plate, and the [12] screws around the amplifier, using a Torx T15.
  • Slowly tilt amp away from chassis, and locate the [2] cables connecting the amplifier to the drivers.

  • Press the clip on the inside of the gray connector and disconnect it.
  • Lift the clip on the bottom of the rainbow connector and disconnect it.
  • Remove the amplifier and place it heatsink-down on a flat surface.

  • Remove the [2] 'top' screws from the shielding plate using a Phillips #1.
  • Slide shielding plate out through the top of the unit, then remove the [2] standoff screws that secured the shielding plate.

  • Gently displace the LED rod and rotate it out of the way.

  • Release the final ribbon cable (there is no clip).
  • Remove the [2] 'bottom' screws as pictured above.

  • Lift Input Module out from the top of the unit.

  • For installation of the replacement card, follow these same steps in reverse order.
