Overview:
Installing ZonePro GUI Designer v3.3 automatically installs several utilities, including ZonePRO Flasher 3.
This article explains when the flasher is required and how to use it to recover a ZonePro processor.
When to use ZonePro Flasher 3
Use ZonePro Flasher 3 in the following situations:
- The device displays a corrupted firmware error (for example: “! 10c0010 failed Status = 4”).
- The unit becomes unresponsive and is not detected or does not boot properly.
Instructions:
- Open ZonePro Flasher 3 and select the COM port from the drop‑down menu that is assigned to the ZonePro in the computer’s Device Manager.
- After selecting the COM port, click Flash. A confirmation window will appear asking if you want to update your ZonePro. Note that the version will not change, as this action reinstalls the current firmware.
- After selecting Yes, the firmware installation process starts, and the progress bar will display the installation status.
Note: For the ZonePro 640/640M and ZonePro 1260/1260M, the installation progress is additionally shown on the device’s front‑panel display.
- When the installation completes you will need to power-cycle the device by disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable.
Note: For the ZonePro 640/640M and ZonePro 1260/1260M, you can press the 3 key and it will reboot the device..
