Guidelines
Soundcraft devices can be cleaned and disinfected using an alcohol solution consisting of a CDC approved ratio of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water.
When cleaning the device, follow these guidelines:
- Do not directly spray the device with the alcohol solution. Instead, spray or slightly moisten a soft, lint-free cloth and then lightly apply the cloth to the surface. Do not saturate the cloth with excess liquid or allow liquid to run into gaps between the component parts and chassis.
- If possible, disconnect the product from power and remove all connectors prior to cleaning. If this is not practical, wipe down only the front surface of the product and avoid cleaning any parts of the product that are near any connectors.
- Dry all surfaces thoroughly and avoid pooling of liquids on the device. Do not allow moisture to drip into openings in the device as moisture entering the device may cause damage to the product.
Do NOT use abrasives or of any other type of solvent or disinfectant other than isopropyl alcohol to clean the product as these may permanently damage or remove the finish.
NOTE: Read and follow all manufacturer instructions regarding the handling of isopropyl alcohol.
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
- Keep away from heat, flame and sources of ignition.
- Use with adequate ventilation.
- The use of protective clothing including safety gloves and eye protection is recommended.
