Overview:

How to adjust the MAC Viper series lamp to center hotspot or remove for a more flat field.

Procedure:

• Ensure a large white screen, canvas or wall is available for projecting the beam.
• Position the fixture approximately 8 to 10 meters (26 to 33 ft) from the screen.
• Aim the fixture so the beam projects onto the screen at a approx. 90° angle.
• To assist in identifying hotspots and evaluating beam flatness, use a mobile phone camera aimed at the projected beam on the screen, wall or canvas. 
  Do not aim the camera directly at the fixture!
• Set the zoom to its widest position and focus the beam.

Lamp Adjustment:

To adjust the lamp, carefully turn the three T20 Torx adjustment screws (C, D, and E) until the beam appears as even and uniform as possible across the projected area.

1. The adjustment C screw has been turned to full left.
   
2. The adjustment screw C has been turned to full right.
   
3. The adjustment D screw has been turned to full up.
   
4. The adjustment D screw has been turned to full down.
   
5. Use the E adjustment screw to adjust the hotspot. Here, the lamp is centered and there is no significant hotspot.
6. Lamp has been adjusted with adjustment screw E and there is a significant hotspot in the center.
