DXLINK Connection Guide

DGX-x00 and DVX4K

The preferred method for connecting a DXLINK endpoint to a DGX-x00 and DVX4K is AUTOSETUP.  You can find this option in the webpages under SWITCHER/CONFIGURATION.  Using this method the endpoints will automatically get assigned an IP address and device number and show up in the online tree as conencted.  Advantages of this method is the speed and simplicity along with if you ever need to swap out the endpoint, the next one will get the same IP and device number when attached to the same port.

NX, DVX-x1xx,DVX-x2xx,DGX-x

When using legacy AMX hardware or non standard setups, It will be necessary to use one of the other connection method.  The most stable and preferred option by far is TCP/URL mode.  To use this mode, telnet to the endpoint and set the following 3 commands then reboot for them to take affect.

SET CONNECTION (* select URL mode *)

SET DEVICE

SET IP
