Overview:
The 2 pin power connector can cause randomly muted outputs due to dropping voltage across the connector in the DriveRack VENU360.
Solution:
- The power supply connector will need to be modified and soldered into place. This will address the issue of dropping voltage across the connector causing randomly muted outputs.
Procedure:
- Remove the center T15 Torx screw and 4 Phillips screws 2 on each side, remove cover.
- Next, Remove the zip tie.
- Cut the connector off and strip the wire leads. Make sure that you strip enough to have the leads wrap around the terminals.
- Prep the leads by adding some tin to the tips.
- Wrap the leads around the terminals at least twice.
- Next, solder the leads.
- Add a zip tie to hold the wires in place.
- Power on the amplifier and verify that the outputs are not muted.
- Once functionality has been confirmed, reinstall the top cover and screws.
- Installation is now complete.
