How to Remove and Attach the Earpads on K872 Headphones

Note: 

Please do not remove the K872 earpads unless you intend to replace them. If you need to replace the earpads, please follow this process.

 

 

You can find the mounting tool in the original box.

  1. Remove the existing earpad by firmly grasping one side of the earpad and pulling the earpad away from the base.​

  1. Make sure the sealing gasket is in place on the speaker plate.

  1. Ensure that the foam ring is in position.

  1. Position the earpad so the small tab (shown) is aligned with the corresponding cut-out in the driver cup.

  1. While holding the earpad in place with one hand, use the mounting tool to firmly press the inner part of the earpad until the hooks snap in place.

  1. Moving clockwise around the earpad, use the mounting tool to press each clip into place. Proceed around the inner side of the pad until all hooks are snapped in.
