Truth Tables - Logic Processing | AVX Architect
In this tutorial, we explore the Truth Table object in the Virtual View of AVX Architect. Learn where to find it in the Virtual Library, how it works, and how to configure its properties for DSP logic processing. The Truth Table allows you to define custom output states based on combinations of input states, making it one of the most flexible tools for advanced logic control in AV systems.

In this video, we’ll continue to explore the virtual view of AVX Architect and look at the various Logic Processing Objects. The Truth Table will set its outputs according to rules associated with its input states. The input is in binary format. The Truth Table can be manually edited to define the state of the outputs for each input state. Alternatively, a .CSV file can be imported.
The Truth Table has no control panel, and all the settings are configured under Options in the Property window. The number of Inputs can be defined here and is selectable up to 12 inputs. Below that is the Number of Outputs, which can be set up to 32. Click this Truth Table button to bring up the Truth Table editing window. In this example, I’ll just use the default 2 inputs and 2 outputs. This Truth Table shows the input states here in the first column, and the states of our two outputs on these next two columns.
This first row is showing the input state with both inputs off. Let’s set it so that when both inputs are off, then both outputs are on. Simply double click on the 1 or 0 to change its state in the Table. Next, let’s set the 2nd state so that only output 2 will be on when only input 1 is on. For the 3rd state, output 1 will be on when only input 2 is on. The 4th state with both inputs on will result in both outputs off. Now we can see how the outputs respond to our various changes we made to the Table as we toggle through the various input states.
