Importing Legacy Devices | System View - AVX Architect
This video explains how to import legacy devices into AVX Architect, allowing you to bring hardware from Audio Architect—such as BSS BLU processors and Crown amplifiers—into AVX Architect for centralized control. You’ll learn the steps to integrate these devices seamlessly and manage them alongside Soundweb OMNI hardware.

In this video, we’re going to cover exporting parameters from an Audio Architect project file and importing them into AVX Architect to use with AVX control panels. To do this, you will need to have an Omni processor with the MUSE and HiQnet extension enabled.
We’ll start this example in Audio Architect, with our old venue file already loaded. This Audio Architect file has two Soundweb London devices and a Crown amplifier. In the top left of Audio Architect, click File, then select “Export Parameters as JSON”. This will present us with a Windows Explorer popup to select where to save this file. Once the file is saved, we can go to AVX Architect.
Here, I’ve already got the processor placed in the workspace. On the top bar, and to the left of the resource meters, you’ll find an up-arrow button for Importing legacy devices. Locate the file we just exported and click “open”. Notice that this has dropped three objects into our SYSTEM view, one for each of the devices from our Audio Architect file. Now, if we go to the UI DESIGN view, these devices can now be found in the Parameters Tree on the left pane. We can expand these devices, like this Blu-806, and pull any of its parameters directly on to the workspace, like this mixer gain and mute.
