In this video, learn how to match Soundweb OMNI devices in AVX Manager and AVX Architect. Matching devices ensures they are recognized by the software, allowing you to configure hardware and deploy custom panels for your system.

Transcript
. In this video, we’re going to walk you through device matching. Matching devices is the process of associating the devices that are on your network to the devices that are in your AVX Architect design files. In this example, I have an Omni DSP that I’ve named DSP1, an AVX Control instance for Windows that I’ve named PC, and one more AVX Control instance running on iOS that I’ve named iPad.
These devices already show that they are Unmatched in the top left of each object. Go ahead and enable networking using the button in the top right of the window. If these devices were properly matched, they would indicate that by updating the statuses. Go ahead and open AVX Manager. This can be done from inside AVX Architect by accessing the hamburger menu in the top left corner.
All three of our devices are showing properly in AVX Manager. If your devices aren’t shown here, pause this video and check out our video on network setup and troubleshooting. Here’s our Omni 256p Processor. The Apple iPad running AVX Control on iOS, and this computer running an instance of AVX Control. In order to match, the device names displayed here must match what we’ve set in our AVX Architect design file. Let’s rename the 256p to DSP1, which is what we confirmed the name was. Once you press enter, you will get a notification that the configuration change has been deployed to the device. After a short amount of time, the list will update to reflect the new name. Let’s go ahead and rename the other devices. iPad for the iPad, and PC for our computer. Go back to AVX Architect and we’ll see that the objects have been updated. They now show a matched status in the top bar, which is now yellow, and they also display the device IP addresses in the top right of the objects.
