In this tutorial, we cover the Counter Trigger object in the Virtual View of AVX Architect. Learn where to find it in the Virtual Library, how it works, and how to configure its properties for DSP logic processing. The Counter Trigger outputs a high state after a user-defined number of input cycles from low to high, making it perfect for creating timed or conditional logic in AV systems.

In this video, we’ll continue to explore the Virtual view of AVX Architect and look at the various Logic Processing objects. The Counter Trigger object is found in the Virtual view, under Logic, in the Processing section. The Counter Trigger object is used to create conditional actions within the program. The output of the Counter Trigger will change to the high or on state once the number of low to high transitions at the input match that of the count value under the properties. Let’s change the count value to 5.
Here is a logic pulse object. This pulse can be fed to the Counter Trigger input, and the output will go high once the input detects 5 low to high cycles. The output will remain high until the reset input has been turned on. The output of the Counter will then go low and remain low regardless of the input value until the reset input changes back to the OFF state.
