You Can't Get Fader, Processing, and Effects When You Record From a Channel.
Recording from channels will only be pre-fader, pre-processing. There is a way to achieve post-fader processing and effects.
Use Mixes as Groups and Record That Group
You can use the mixes as groups by setting them to Post Fader, Post Processing.
On the Si, select the mix and then select Output on the screen. Under Buss Sends, Set Mix Sends Pre/Post, you will select "All Post Fade". This will be post-fader and also post processing.
You then will patch the output to the correct MADI channel to send to the DAW. In this case, MADI 33 is the first channel sent to the DAW via USB, as the Stagebox is on channels 1-32.
On the Ui, while in a mix, click to set the mix to Post. To select all channels, push and hold the Post button and a box will pop up asking to "SET ALL CHANNELS TO 'POST' "
Do the same to enable POST PROC on all channels, this will make the send post all the processing on the channel. The long push-hold will pop up a dialogue to do all channels here as well
Patching is not switchable on the Ui, so the sends to the DAW from the mixes is 3-10 (corresponding to Mix 1-8).
Next thing to do is turn up a channel you want to record to 0 in that mix.
A trick on the Ui is to double click the gain readout and that will set the fader to 0
Now, any channel you have in that mix/group will record with all the fader settings as well as all the EQ and processing.
