Question:
How do I set up my PCM 92/96 to work with my footswitch?
Answer:
In order to use an external footswitch with a PCM92/96, you must be in the user presets group/category. In order to get there follow the instructions below. We recommend using the Digitech FS3X footswitch.
- Make sure you are viewing a preset at the top most menu level. When viewing a preset, the bottom left corner of the display will read “(System View)".
- Press the BACK button. The “Preset Category Selection" screen will be on the menu.
- Scroll down to the bottom of this menu and select “User".
- If all of your user presets are empty, you will need to add them here. Whenever a preset is stored, it is automatically placed in the user preset library. Presets placed in the user library cannot be deleted, only overwritten.
- Once you are in the top most menu level of the user library, press the SELECT knob to bring up the “System Menu" screen.
- Scroll down this menu and select “Footswitch setup".
- In the “Foot Switch Assignments" menu, select the parameter you would like to assign to your footswitch.
- The screen will read “Please press the switch for (parameter here)".
- Press the switch on your footswitch that you would like mapped to this parameter.
- The screen will register that you assigned the parameter to your footswitch.
- Once completed, press the BACK button until you are back at the top most menu level and your footswitch will be ready to use.
