4. Notable Points
5. Programming Information
----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
1. Prerequisites
----------------------------------------------------------
- DXLink TX v1.6.7 (or later) should be loaded on the DXLink
Transmitters prior
to upgrade
- DXLink RX v1.9.10 (or later) should be loaded on the
DXLink
Receiver to get the
most benefit from this TX version
- Enova DGX enclosures should at least have the following:
DGX 8/16/32 (NI
Master) v4.2.395 & DGX kit 2.0.0.12
DGX 8/16/32/32 (NX
Master) v1.2.312 & DGX kit 2.0.0.12
- Enova DVX 315X and 215X should at least have the
following:
Master v4.8.316
Switcher Firmware
v1.6.31
- NetLinx Studio V3.4 (4.0 if using NX master)
----------------------------------------------------------
2. Features added in this release:
----------------------------------------------------------
== Previously released in v1.6.43 ==========================
- Added a watchdog for point to point setups. In a telnet session,
type "wdp2p on
x.x.x.x" to enable. The x.x.x.x is
the ip address
of the opposite
device. To disable, in a telnet session
type "wdp2p off".
A reboot is required
after enabling or disabling the state
for it to take
effect. Leave the RX and MFTX in static
ip mode.
Once the devices
ping each other the watchdog will be armed.
If they fail to ping
each other for 1 minute the watchdog will fire.
== Previously released in v1.6.40 ==========================
- Added a telnet command to allow the MFTX to present a
DVI only EDID to the
source. This EDID will not include
the extended EDID so
it will not show support for AUDIO.
(This is useful in a
POINT TO POINT setup when the sink )
(on the RX is a DVI
sink and you don't want the TX to )
(allow the source to
embed audio. The mode does not have)
(any use/effect when
the downstream sink is HDMI. )
Note: A reboot is
required after changing the DVI mode
status in order
for it to take effect.
Telnet Commands:
> dvi // To get DVI mode status
> dvi on // To enable DVI only mode
> dvi off // To disable DVI only mode (default)
> wdurlsocket
on // Connection watchdog - Will improve
online/offline
//
when connected to a Master. Do not use
//
if not configured to connect to a Master
> wdurlsocket off
// url connect watchdog - will disable wdurlsocket
//
watchdog, default setting
- Added full A/V support for Analog Video precedence feature
which allows Auto
select mode to prioritize Analog video
over Digital video
inputs
ICSP Command:
> VIDIN_AUTO_SELECT-ANALOG
Note: the other
options are ENABLE (HDMI) or DISABLE
== Previously released in v1.6.29 ==========================
- Added an "Offline Recovery Mechanism." In a
telnet session,
type "WD
ON" to enable or "WD OFF" to disable this feature.
A reboot is required
after enabling or disabling the state
for it to take
effect. This also monitors the following
conditions, and when
met it will reboot:
- If it successfully
connects to a Master and then falls
offline for longer
than 5 minutes.
- A DXLink device
processor becomes unstable and hangs
- The DXLink
device’s exceeds it's minimum memory threshold
----------------------------------------------------------
3. Fixes in this release:
----------------------------------------------------------
Fixes an issue where input video detection was taking a long
time
with some sources.
== Previously released in v1.6.68 ==========================
Fixed random offline/online events.
Fixed a video flicker issue that would randomly occur with
some PC's
== Previously released in v1.6.66 ==========================
- Fixed an issue where the MFTX could stay offline with the
master after a
network security scan.
== Previously released in v1.6.65 ==========================
- Added a mode to enable hdmi audio detection improvements
- telnet commands added
hdmi audio
check - will return the status of on
or off
hdmi audio check
on - will set the mode on
hdmi audio check off
- will set the mode off
Note: This mode will
use internal recoveries for odd
audio detection scenarios such as when hdmi audio is not
always
syncing properly. If
you do not observe random audio failures,
the default mode is off, and can be ignored.
== Previously released in v1.6.63 ==========================
Fixed audio input issue occurring randomly after a
sleep/wake cycle
== Previously released in v1.6.61 ==========================
Fixed issue with DWP not coming online after upgrade to .60.
== Previously released in v1.6.60 ==========================
Fixed video issues with Intelix switchers in front of the
MFTX.
== Previously released in v1.6.58 ==========================
Fixed an issue when using the IR port for one way serial at
9600 baud. Sometimes
the right characters did not transmit.
== Previously released in v1.6.57 ==========================
Improved audio input detection, specifically fixed scenarios
where no audio could be heard when video and audio were
being
sent from an hdmi input source
== Previously released in v1.6.48 ==========================
- Fixed issue with AUDIN_FORMAT_AUTO-DISABLE not working
correctly.
== Previously released in v1.6.46 ==========================
- Fixed an issue when using both digital and analog sources
the audio would not
always be correct when analog is set
as the video
priority.
== Previously released in v1.6.45 ==========================
- Fixed an issue where the MFTX would not come online with a
master when using
ICS lan only.
== Previously released in v1.6.39 ==========================
ONLINE
- Fixed issue where an MFTX could generate multiple
online/offline
events during bootup of the system. This
seemed to occur more
frequently when the MFTX's are
configured with
static IP address.
- Improved the AMX master connection to reduce the number
of offline events.
- Fixed an issue with the TCP 3-way handshake process. This
issue also caused
offline events.
== Previously released in v1.6.33 ==========================
- Corrected an issue with Point to Point setups where a
pink screen would
display on display connected to an RX
if the RX booted up
prior to the MFTX
- Improved algorithm for HDMI input detection and recovery
when the source
video is not properly detected
== Previously released in v1.6.29 ==========================
- Fixed a video offset issue when viewing NTSC video.
- Implemented method to get stats from downstream device
- Improved robustness of video detection for noisy digital
sources (aka.
garbage video)
- Added steps to ensure video is evaluated and setup
properly
- Improved recovery when video is not detected (like when
a source wakes up
from standby/sleep mode)
- Fixed a memory leak in ICSP that could negatively impact
device's network
stability
----------------------------------------------------------
4. Notable Points/Known Issues
----------------------------------------------------------
- The VIDIN_AUTO_SELECT-ANALOG mode is limited to detecting
correct analog
format. Testing still found some cases where
it may still miss
the HDMI input detection
- PLEASE READ the documentation in regard to the DIP
switches located on
the bottom of the Tx/Rx modules
before attempting to
connect to the network

!! Important–Two loads of this kit MAY be required if !!
!! upgrading from firmware earlier than v1.6.7 !!
!!
!!
!! 1. Transfer kit v1.6.49 to the TX. If upgrading from !!
!! a version
earlier than 1.6.7, it will abort due to!!
!! a memory
error. If so, proceed to step 2 !!
!!
!!
!! 2. Reboot the TX (via telnet or power cycle) then !!
!! check the
firmware versions in the Online Tree:
!!
!!
!!
!!eg. 06002 - DXLINK-MFTX (v1.6.49) !!

==========================================================
- Special Process Consideration for applying upgrade to
FG1010-300 only: For
upgrading a DXLINK HDMI TX from 1.1.xx
to this load, a
"FACTORYAV" or a RESET FACTORY is needed
once the load has
booted.
- Special Process Consideration for Applying upgrade to
FG1010-310,
FG1010-320-BL, FG1010-320-WH: The default
preferred resolution
within the Analog Input (HD-15) EDID
set in Firmware v.
1.6.8 is 1920x1080P, 60.
However if the
previous firmware level was prior to 1.2.38,
the previous EDID
preferred resolution setting will continue
to persist at
1920x1200,60. To move to the updated standard
preferred resolution
of 1920x1080P,60 one of the following
steps must be taken:
-Issue a "FACTORYAV"
to the device
-Issue a send
command "VIDIN_PREF_EDID-1920X1080P,60" port 8
To validate this
setting, the following send command can be
sent to port 8:
?VIDIN_PREF_EDID
Additional preferred
resolutions may also be selected.
See user manual for
preferred resolution selections.
