Rating

DXLink 4K60 TX/RX Hotfix (copper)

The latest released firmware (v1.8.5) for the TX and RX kits can be downloaded from AMX.com:

https://www.amx.com/en/softwares/dxlink-4k60-transmitter-firmware-v1-8-5

https://www.amx.com/en/softwares/dxlink-4k60-receiver-firmware-v1-8-5

There is currently no 4K60 RX Hotfix later than the released kit above.

* The attached zip file contains the full kit for the copper 4K60 TX (v1.8.5.99) hotfix firmware.

Applies to:

FG1010-312-xx  DX-TX-4K60

Note:  This zip only includes firmware for the copper TX only.  If hotfix firmware for the fiber TX is needed, there is a separate help.harmanpro.com article available.

Changes in this release:

  • Changed +5V video signal to improve video detection with certain devices that require a faster HPD (Hot Plug Detect) and exchange of EDID info.  This could be used in the case of a rebooting or waking source that is not able to establish a good connection to the TX resulting in that source not sending video.

Programming Instructions:

  1.  Load this v1.8.5.99 full kit to the copper TX
  2.  When the firmware update is complete and the TX is back online, confirm the app version in the Online Tree is v1.8.5.99
    • ?FWVERSION  >>  FWVERSION-ARM_V1.8.5.99 MCU_V9.7.1 EP_V6.1 VALENS_V7.4.44 SI9396_V1.3.02

Optional:
If you need to factory reset the TX/RX to get it back to a known/default starting point, there are a few options:
  • TELNET:  "reset factory"
  • NETLINX COMMAND:  "FACTORYRESET"
  • ID BUTTON:  Press and hold the ID Button, apply power/POE to the TX/RX and continue to hold the ID Button.  The front LEDS will flash a sequence about once per second.  When they start flashing faster (approximately twice per second) let go of the ID Button and it will perform a factory reset.  Holding it longer will cause it to revert to the initial factory firmware version.
