Replacing the microSD card in a NX-1200

Rating

Step 1: Unplug all connections from the front and back of the NX-1200

Step 2: Remove the cover

You will need a small Phillips Head screwdriver and possibly a small pair of needle nose pliers.

There are 4 screws, 2 on the left, 2 on the right, and the ring around the IRRX port. These parts need to be removed prior to attempting removal of the cover. The ring spins counterclockwise and shouldn't be more than finger tight but use needle nose pliers if it doesn't turn easily. Take the ring completely off and set aside. Take the 4 screws completely out by turning counterclockwise also.

The front cover comes off by slightly lifting the back up first, then sliding the cover forward enough to clear the IRRX port and LEDs.

Step 3: Swapping the microSD card

The inside of your NX-1200 should look very similar to the above picture. There may be tape over the microSD card. If there is tape, carefully remove the tape and set it aside, you will put it back over the new microSD card when you're done. Slide the old card straight out and slide the new card straight in, making sure it is seated all the way in. Put the tape back on if you removed it earlier.

Step 4: Reassemble the NX-1200

Reassemble the unit by first putting the cover on the front and hinging it down until it is seated properly. Put the 4 screws in first and the threaded ring on last. Power the unit up and verify functionality.
