Question:
Why can't I hear any audio from my DAW on my Ui24R?
Answer:
In order to hear any audio played back from your DAW through the Ui24R mixer, you will need to dedicate two of your channels for audio return from your PC to the mixer.
The steps to accomplish this task are below.
1. Press the Settings Icon.

2. Press the Patching tab.

3. Select either the USB DAW 1-16 or USB DAW 17-32 tab across the top of the screen.
4. Choose any two input channels to patch to any USB DAW channels. The particular channels do not matter, but generally we recommend patching input channels 23 and 24 to USB DAW channels 31 and 32 as shown below. Once you have made this configuration change, remember that those two channels will no longer be used for physical inputs such as microphone or instrument.

5. Go to your mix page and long press on channel 23 and in the popup select "Stereo Link". Notice that these two channels now show USB DAW 31 and USB DAW 32 at the bottom.

6. Turn up channels 23 and 24, or whichever channels you choose to dedicate to this function just as you would any other input channel.

7. In your DAW and in your Operating System, choose Soundcraft Line Out 31 and 32 as your output devices, or whichever channels you choose to dedicate to this purpose.
