Mio-R4 Remote Build v3.01.48 Release Notes
Release Date: 4/10/2015
NOTES for v3.01.48:
-------------------
Prerequisites:
v3.00.00 or above on the Mio-R4 Remote
v3.00.00 or above on the Zigbee Gateway
1. If the current firmware on the Mio-R4 Remote is anything less than 3.00,
then load the SW0148_01B_MIOR4_ZIGBEE_MODULE_3_00_00.kit file first. If
SW0148_01A_MIOR4_3_00_00.kit is accidentally loaded first, the radio will
be unable to communicate with the Mio-R4 Remote host processor and cannot
be upgraded. In this case, the Mio-R4 Remote host processor will have to
be downgraded to an older version of the firmware and then upgraded again
with the radio being upgraded first. If the current firmware on the
Mio-R4 Remote is 3.00.00 or greater, the firmware may be loaded in any
order.
2. If the current firmware on the Zigbee Gateway is anything less than 3.00,
then load the SW5791_01A_NXR_ZGW_3_00_00.kit file first. If the current
firmware on the Zigbee Gateway is 3.00.00 or greater, the firmware may be
loaded in any order.
CHANGES in this Release:
------------------------
-- Fixed an issue with the watchdog not being paused when device enters Standy mode with Sleep on Display Timeout enabled
CHANGES in PREVIOUS RELEASES
------------------------
-- Fixed several issues with the touch rail and tilt sensor implementation that
was causing the Mio-R4 Remote to not immediately wake up when touched and/or
tilted.
-- Fixed issue that was causing false wakeup events. Internal flags were not
cleared correctly when the Mio-R4 Remote went to sleep. This led to a false
wakeup event when the Mio-R4 Remote started processing an unrelated event.
-- Fixed issue where the Mio-R4 Remote would always stay awake due to an
internal timer that was not being handled correctly.
-- Implemented a more reliable keypad scanner algorithm resulting in quicker
responses to keypresses.
-- Changed the Mio-R4 Remote where it will not appear to wake up when it
reconnects to an NI-Controller. The Mio-R4 Remote previously would have
turned on the LCD display and the keypad light on wireless events such as
a reboot of the Zigbee Gateway.
-- Changed the Mio-R4 Remote where it will now only send the START string on
bootup. Previous versions of firmware would send the START string
everytime the Mio-R4 Remote reconnected to the Ni-Controller
-- Changed the Mio-R4 Remote where it will now reboot when an internal fault
is detected during bootup. Previous versions of firmware would cause the
"fast flash" behavior of the power button light.
-- Enabled the hardware watchdog and set it up to trigger is the master connection
is lost for more than 10 minutes.
-- Changed the power button reboot time to 7 seconds.
-- Fixed an issue with the watchdog not resetting on soft reboots
KNOWN ISSUES:
-------------
-- On systems that have one Zigbee Gateway and no repeaters, the remotes can
become inoperable under extreme amounts of traffic (for example, 30
messages every two seconds to each of six remotes). Rebooting these devices
will bring them back online.
-- The Zigbee Gateway does not currently support NDP mode for NI-Controller
connections.
-- In high traffic situations remotes can appear on the Zigbee Gateway
commissioning page, even though they are commissioned. This has no impact
on the actual operation of the remotes.
-- When accessing setup pages for first time, there may be a load time that
results in a momentary unclear page.
-- Mio-R4 Remote cannot connect to one Zigbee Gateway if it has a secure
network, must use unsecure network to bind remote to secured network.
-- Cursor will jump to top-left corner if quick repetitive touches are
performed.
-- Unable to see Page Tracking string sent back to NI-Controller with Page
Tracking on.
-- Button on and off states with different Marquee directions are not
following the programmed states.
