JBL DEVICE FILES

The software installer includes factory device files for all
JBL devices supported in Audio Architect software. System
Architect software is updated with the the most up-to-date DSP
files as improvements and upgrades become available.

Factory approved device files and Presets Files are placed in
the following location on your hard drive:
...\My Documents\Harman Pro\JBLDeviceFilesAndPresets-AA\

New device files are added to the Device File folder library if
new software is installed over the resident software version.

UPDATING AUDIO ARCHITECT

Archive into different folders any old files in the Device Files
or Presets Files folders you wish to keep.

To achieve a clean installation of new software, uninstall previous
versions of Audio Architect software before installing the new software.

To remove existing software:

Either
1. Uninstall using the "Uninstall Audio Architect" utility program
provided in the Start\Programs\Harman Pro\Audio Architect folder.
OR
2. Use the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel to uninstall the
existing Audio Architect program.

RUNNING MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF Audio ARCHITECT

Installing multiple versions of Audio Architect software will allow
the new software to write updated versions of device files into the
Device Files folder. The new files will be added to the contents of
the existing device files folder leaving obsolete device files mixed
in with the current new device files.

Users with a requirement to leave multiple versions of System
Architect software installed on the computer and access obsolete
device settings associated with older versions of Audio Architect
are highly recommended to archive the previously installed device
files to a different folder.
